First Foray With Black Paper Notebook

As the title says, this is my first time writing in a black paper notebook. So far I’m only a few pages in and I can’t yet address how well the notebook will hold up with daily use. I was immediately attracted after reading it was lined pages. The one thing I know about myself is lines of some kind are needed to keep my handwriting looking its best. There are a great many cover designs to choose from and with the fall season being spider season I chose a web. The elastic closure is a nice feature when not using my notebook cover.

Along with the Dark Analysis notebook I also bought the Supernova and the Lichen get pen sets. They both have 1.0mm tips that flow well and leave a nice amount of ink while writing. I was recently in a bookstore in Comox, BC and bought 0.5 and 1.0mm Sakura Gelly Roll white ink pens. The 1.0mm pen tips are my preference for writing in this notebook. The finer point tip does not put down enough ink for my liking.

I would recommend the Dark Analysis for anyone looking for a different writing experience. Or if one can write well without lines the Dark Matter with thicker paper could be an option. The folks at Cognitive Surplus have created an interesting shop. They shipped fast, packed well and are local to Oregon.
