I bought the Skeleton Tea Infuser at the Lightner Museum while in St. Augustine. I was a little concerned about it being glass (and me being a klutz). But I was amazed at how much better tea tasted after being infused in the glass bottle, and while it doesn't retain the heat quite as well as the insulated metal water bottles, the tea (and water) tasted so much cleaner from that water bottle. Furthermore, while a metal water bottle retains the heat longer, tea in the metal bottle stays too hot too long, while the glass bottle keeps the tea at the perfect temperature for just the right period of time to drink it all.
You may notice that I said that I bought the Skeleton tea infuser but I am writing a review for the Poisonous Plants tea infuser. The Skeleton tea infuser endured a number of blows that would have shattered a lesser glass bottle, but after I owned it for a month, I did fumble it when carrying too many things to my car and it broke. I am afraid a disproportionate number of tears were shed, I am ashamed to say.
But the tea really was so much better in that glass tea infuser than in the metal bottle -- it is hard to describe how much using it really warmed and brightened my day -- and when I went to order a new one online, I saw the Poisonous Plants bottle, and it was so much prettier! AND it had skeletons! So I went with that and I think it is just about perfect.
(To be safe, I did procure a padded carrier for my water bottle this time from a different vendor. Maybe something for Cognitive Surplus to consider selling in the future? ;). )
