This is an edited "re-review." There was an issue with the glazing (it was pinging and cracking with the very first use). I contacted Cognitive Surplus and didn't hear back right away. This was down to them playing catch up from the Christmas rush and not representative of their typical response time. They were very kind and explained that occasionally the mugs will get shocked by being dropped en route. They told me they would send a replacement for free with a little extra packing to ensure it arrived safely. I was quite happy with how they stood by their quality and will continue to purchase from them.
